Meet Robin

CURLS, SHORT CUTS & A LITTLE HAIRAPY

Robin has spent more than 20 years doing hair and still loves the creativity of figuring out exactly what to do with the person sitting in front of her.

Cutting is a big part of her world. Robin is a master at short hair and men’s cutting, with a love for precision, graduation techniques, and shapes with a little edge. She’s also Rëzo certified and loves working with curly hair, helping clients make the most of their natural texture with cuts designed specifically around their curl pattern.

But don’t let the scissors fool you—Robin is just as comfortable with a color bowl in her hand. Dimensional highlights, rich brunettes, and beautifully formulated reds are all part of the picture.

Her experience extends well beyond the salon chair. Robin has worked on fashion and beauty shoots, backstage with models and musicians, and spent years educating other hairdressers. After beginning her training at Ogle, she went on to become an Education Director with Toni & Guy, teaching both beginning and advanced stylists.

Robin is also passionate about creating a welcoming, affirming, queer-friendly space for the LGBTQIA+ community. Married to her wife, Renee, that sense of inclusion is personal to her. She wants every client who sits in her chair to feel comfortable being exactly who they are, without assumptions about how they should look or wear their hair.

For all that education and experience, Robin still believes in a little good old-fashioned hairapy. The relationships that happen behind the chair matter just as much as the creative work happening in front of the mirror.

Away from the salon, Robin is usually spending time with Renee and her young son. She also loves her cats, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, traveling, and settling in for a good episode of Dateline.
